Changes apply to Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) incentive structures.
- No minimum business requirement is mandated for any sales force in a financial year.
- Employees promoted to roles where they cannot procure new business will continue earning incentives on previously procured policies until renewal premiums are received.
- Incentives (procurement and renewal) will not be paid if a salesforce is terminated for criminal activities, fraud, or other misconduct.
- A nomination facility allows a deceased salesforce’s nominee or legal heirs to receive payable incentives, provided the agent meets service and policy criteria.
- There is No upper age limit for obtaining a license or procuring new business.
- Discharged employees (DE/GDS) can continue earning renewal incentives after superannuation if they enroll as Field Officers within three months.
These modifications are effective prospectively from 31.03.2025.
