India Post has announced the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak positions across various postal divisions.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: 18 to 40 years (Relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PwD as per rules)
Education: 10th pass from a recognized board.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of computer.
Ability to ride a bicycle or drive a two-wheeler.
Candidates should have other sources of income.
Local language proficiency (as per postal circle)
Job Profiles:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM):
Manage Branch Post Office operations and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services
Promote postal products and services
Responsible for mail handling and delivery
Must arrange accommodation for the Branch Post Office
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM):
Assist BPM in postal operations
Deliver mail, manage deposits/payments via IPPB
Engage in customer service center activities
- Dak Sevak:
Handle mail conveyance and delivery
Work in postal offices, Railway Mail Services (RMS), and sorting centers
Support marketing and business procurement

Salary (TRCA Pay Scale):
BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470
Annual 3% increment + DA & allowances.
Selection Process:
Merit-based (No exam required)
Selection based on 10th class marks (Converted to percentage if grades are provided)
Tie-breaker: Age preference (Older candidate preferred), followed by category priority
